SUMMARY:FAS Team Visits Nalgonda as part of the project “Digital Agriculture in India”
DESCRIPTION:\n\nAs part of the ongoing project “Digital Agriculture in India”, a team from FAS recently carried out a field visit to Nalgonda district in Telangana to study the application of digital technologies in agriculture. The field work had a specific focus on agricultural drones, digital extension services, and the development of digital public infrastructure.\n\nDuring the visit, the team conducted qualitative case studies and semi-structured interviews with the state agriculture department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Agricultural Research Station of the Telangana Agricultural University, input dealers, drone sellers, drone service providers, farmers, FPOs, and women SHG members.
