SUMMARY:Advisory Committee Meeting under the Project “The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in India”
DESCRIPTION:\n \nThe Foundation for Agrarian Studies (FAS), Bengaluru, organised a meeting of the advisory committee members for the projects “The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India” and “The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in South India” ( https://fas.org.in/research/research-projects/the-dynamics-of-agricultural-innovation-in-india/ ) at the TERI Southern Regional Centre, Bengaluru, on September 25, 2025. These projects are being jointly undertaken by FAS and Monash University, Australia.\nThe meeting opened with an introduction to the projects, followed by a presentation by the project team on current activities, particularly the steps and methodology undertaken to compile a comprehensive list of innovations, including policy contributions brought in by CGIAR institutions since the 2000s. The project team also discussed the forthcoming major activities under the project, including a large-scale farm household survey and an exercise to collect relevant bio-physical information.\nThe advisory committee members shared valuable feedback and methodological suggestions, particularly in refining the process of listing the innovations, and provided clear directions for the next steps.\nThe meeting was attended by the advisory committee, project leads, team members, and subject experts. The Advisory Committee comprises K. C. Bansal (Former Director, ICAR-NBPGR and Adjunct Professor, Murdoch University, Australia), P. C. Mohanan (Chairperson, Kerala State Statistical Commission), V.
