Session 3A on Day 3 (November 8, 2025) of the International Conference on Agrarian Change was chaired by Rammanohar Reddy (Founder Editor, The India Forum). It featured speakers Judith Heyer (Emeritus Fellow, Somerville College, University of Oxford), Parvathi Menon (FAS Trustee; Former Journalist, The Hindu), Venkatesh B. Athreya (Former Head, Department of Economics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli), and P. Shanmugham (All India Kisan Sabha).

The session discussed long-term shifts in poverty among Dalit communities, the agrarian conflicts culminating in the Kilvenmani massacre, and the decades-long struggle for justice following the Vachathi atrocity.
