Session 5A on Day 3 (November 8, 2025) of the International Conference on Agrarian Change was chaired by Mini Sukumar (Member of Kerala State Planning Board). The discussant was Govinda Choudhury (Assistant Professor, University of North Bengal). Speakers included Alankrita Yadav (PhD Scholar, Department of Economics, Banaras Hindu University), Soham Bhattacharya (Assistant Professor, Presidency University), Shakuntala Ghadai (PhD Scholar, Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram), and Archana Tamang (Assistant Professor, Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College, Tadong).

The session discussed feminisation of agriculture, time-induced income poverty, climate shock and food security, and the agrarian relations in Sikkim.
