Consultation on Analysis of Costs and Incomes from Crop Production
On October 13, an online consultation was held with experts to present the findings from the on the ongoing study of the Foundation that examines the trends in costs and incomes from crop production in India.
Deepak Johnson and Kulvinder Singh made a presentation on profitability, costs, and incomes of paddy and urad for the time period 2000-01 to 2019-20 at all-India and State levels. They used the data from the Comprehensive Scheme on Cost of Cultivation of Principal Crops in India for their presentation. Various methodological issues and explanations for specific trends were discussed in detail after the presentation.
The online meeting was attended by Madhura Swaminathan, V. Surjit, Ashish Kamra, Kunal Munjal, and researchers from the Foundation.
