FAS Team at 78th Conference of Indian Society of Agricultural Economics
The Foundation for Agrarian Studies (FAS) was represented by a team of researchers and collaborators at the 78th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics held at New Delhi from November 1 to 3, 2018.
Three research papers using data from the Project on Agrarian Relations in India (PARI) of the Foundation – “Impact of Farm Mechanisation in Village Economy: Case of Two Villages in Bihar” by Sandipan Baksi and Tapas Singh Modak, “Inputs and Cost of Cultivation: A Village-Level Analysis” by Deepak Johnson and Kunal Munjal, and “Cropping Pattern, Productivity, and Incomes from Crop Production” by Arindam Das, Madhura Swaminathan, and Abhinav Kapoor – were presented in the technical sessions of the conference.
Madhura Swaminathan presented the paper “Doubling Farmers’ Incomes: Constraints of Small Farmers” at the Special Session of the Conference titled “Doubling Farmers’ Income: Opportunities and Challenges.”
