Impact of Covid-19 on Food Security
The Covid-19 pandemic has further worsened the situation with regards to food and nutrition security. Covid-19 has severely disrupted the supply chains of agricultural production and further reduced many people’s ability to afford nutritious diets. The worsening crises of unemployment and declining incomes along with the rising difficulty in accessing agricultural markets has widened pre-existing gaps.
The panel discussion on the topic “Impact of Covid-19 on Food Security” was held at 4:00 p.m. IST on October 31, 2020.
